 Obstetrician

Duties and Responsibilities: An obstetrician, gynecologist, or OB-GYN is a doctor who helps pregnant women before and after the birth of their babies. Gynecologists monitor the progress of a pregnancy, identify the sex of a baby, prescribe prenatal medications, and assist in the birthing process.


Salary:  $216,760 a year, $104.21 an hour


Education: 12-15 years of education and practical experience. Bachelor's degree; medical school degree (Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy.


Demand For this particular Career:  Job growth will occur because of the continued expansion of healthcare-related industries.
